Job summary

ASRC Energy Services, LLC is seeking a full-time driver/operator for the North Slope to safely operate LRSI units, rig hoses, and maintain equipment in Arctic conditions.

Requires a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, ability to work long shifts, on-call hours, and lodging provided on site. This role emphasizes safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

This is a Full-Time Regular position. This position requires a full understanding of all applicable Safety, Health and Environmental Policies including: the Alaska Safety Handbook, Redbook Waste Management, LRSI SOP’s, Safety Policy and Procedures Document, HSE Policy. And EMS Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Spill-free operation of assigned LRSI unit.
  • Full understanding of all applicable Safety, Health and Environmental Policies including:
  • Alaska Safety Handbook
  • Redbook Waste Management
  • LRSI SOP’s
  • LRSI Safety Policy and Procedures Document
  • LRSI HSE Policy
  • LRSI EMS Plan
  • Act as the designated “Spill Champion” while on the jobsite.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork.
  • Drive tractor trailer with standard transmission.
  • Maintaining LRS equipment.
  • Rigging up hoses and hardline to wellheads.
  • Safely and promptly complete assigned job.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support LRS zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • One-year related experience.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to safely drive in arctic and inclement weather conditions.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use computers and radios as required for reports and communication.
  • Compliance and participation with all LRSI and Customer safety protocols and Programs.
  • Desire and willingness to learn all aspects of Well Testing/Hot Oil operations.
  • Current Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements Required
  • Lifting- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Standing- able to stand for up to 3 hours at a time.
  • Bending/ Reaching- capable of working in cramped and tight spots while handing tools, hose, pipe, etc.
  • Pulling- Drag/pull up to 50 feet of 1½” high-pressure hose (weight can exceed 100 pounds).
  • Capable of working in cold weather environment with full arctic gear for up to 18 hours per day.
  • Ability to work “on call”- i.e. not on a set schedule- varying start/ finish times.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Driver License required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Previous work experience in the arctic environment preferred.
  • Ice Road Tractor Trailer driving experience preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on‑site orientation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post‑offer, pre‑hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee’s ability to safely meet job standards. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions. In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit‑for‑Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
