Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Well Integrity Engineer to join their team near Paarl. You will develop and implement well integrity management systems, conduct risk assessments, and oversee testing and maintenance programs to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across the oil and gas portfolio.

The role requires a bachelor's in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, at least five years in well integrity, knowledge of API standards, and strong analytical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in well integrity or related Oil & Gas field.
• In-depth knowledge of well construction, completion, and abandonment.
• Familiarity with API standards and industry best practices for well integrity.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain well integrity management systems (WIMS).
• Conduct risk assessments and fitness-for-service evaluations for wells.
• Plan and oversee well integrity testing, monitoring, and verification activities.
• Investigate well integrity failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for well integrity.
• Collaborate with drilling, operations, and maintenance teams to address integrity issues.
