Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. seeks an energetic Fitness Instructor to lead aquatic classes for senior residents, ensuring safety and enjoyment while tailoring programs to individual needs. You will design and implement fitness plans, conduct strength, balance and aerobics sessions, and provide personalized guidance to residents.

You may also assist with the Kinnections Brain Health program. This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week with daytime hours and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or a related field, or credit hours toward a degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications or specialized training in senior fitness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primarily lead aquatic classes, ensuring safety and enjoyment for participants.
• Design, plan, and implement fitness and well-being programs tailored to the needs and preferences of senior residents.
• Conduct exercise classes, including but not limited to strength training, balance exercises, aerobics
• Provide individual guidance and support to residents to ensure proper form, safety, and motivation during classes and exercise sessions for all residents.
• Assisting with the Kinnections Brain Health program

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time Position, 40 hours/week
• Hours: Between 7:30am - 5:00pm (flexible)
• Pay: $20.50/hour
