Zusammenfassung

Asbury Communities seeks a part-time fitness lead to design and deliver engaging senior fitness programs in our community. You will lead exercise classes—from strength and balance to yoga—tailoring activities to residents’ needs and safety considerations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, an associate or bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (or credits toward a degree), and CPR/First Aid or willingness to certify. Prior senior-living group instruction is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Associate or bachelor's in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field, or credits toward a degree preferred.
• Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid certification—OR willingness to get certified.
• Experience leading exercise classes, especially in a senior living community or related setting preferred.

Job Description

• Lead aquatic classes, ensuring safety and enjoyment for participants.
• Design, plan, and implement fitness and well-being programs tailored to the needs and preferences of senior residents.
• Conduct exercise classes, including but not limited to strength training, balance exercises, aerobics, yoga, and other forms of physical activity suitable for seniors.

Hours and Compensation:

Part-Time Position

Hours: M-F 7:30am-4:00pm (3 days a week-flexible hours/days)

Pay: $20.50/hour

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or a related field, or credit hours toward a degree preferred. Relevant certifications or specialized training in senior fitness is highly desirable.
• Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid certification-OR willing to get certified.
• Proven experience in leading exercise classes, particularly in a senior living community or related setting prefered
