Job summary

Bethel University in Saint Paul, MN, welcomes a part-time Program Assistant to support immigrant and refugee women as they navigate college, career pathways, and community resources. You will work closely with the WeLEAD Program Coordinator and the Executive Director to update resource databases, produce the monthly newsletter, and coordinate life-skills workshops.

You will network with schools and organizations to broaden access to college resources and workforce preparation.

Qualifications

Must be a current Bethel student.
Familiarity with navigating college systems and resources for BIPOC/immigrant/refugee individuals.
Self-starter, diligent, organized and comfortable with networking.

Responsibilities

Research and update a database of academic resources for college students (scholarships, mentorships, free supplies).
Develop, update and distribute the monthly WeLEAD newsletter highlighting resources, events and deadlines.
Research and update resources for workforce and life skills development (vocational programs, housing, assistance).
Outreach and network with organizations and schools to learn about resources available.
Support planning and implementation of senior retreats, financial planning workshops, and other life skills/academic sessions.
Attend weekly staff meetings and bi-weekly check-ins with the WeLEAD Coordinator.
