Job summary

5rcattle is seeking a skilled Welder and Yard Maintenance worker to perform welding for maintenance and repair of feedlot pens, gates, rails, and related equipment.

You will identify and prioritize repairs, operate cutting torches and welders, maintain tools and safety compliance, and contribute to yard construction projects.

This hourly position requires reading manuals, following instructions, and working in a loud outdoor environment with weather exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience using cutting torch, wire feed welder, and MIG/Arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize repairs through communication with management and review of requests.
• Utilize welding equipment to repair gates, fences, and other equipment.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of welding truck and tools.
• Maintain tidy work area and inventory welding supplies.
• May participate in yard construction and renovation projects.
• Comply with all safety policies and rules.
