Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder and Fabricator Technician to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and general production work involving trailers, fleet equipment, and metal structures.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable reading blueprints and drawings, working with various metals, and using welding, fabrication, hand, and power tools. This position requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication work on trailers, fleet equipment, tools, and metal structures.
- Assist with trailer repairs, framing, and fabrication to maintain structural integrity.
- Perform rust cleanup and repairs.
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Use grinders and other tools to cut, shape, and prepare various metals.
- Assist with framing, insulation, wall and floor installation, doors and windows, trim, platforms, propane tank holders, and other fabrication projects.
- Operate welding and fabrication tools and machinery safely.
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and proper fabrication.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Help with on-site setup and teardown of units.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Report safety hazards and low materials to management.
- Complete assigned tasks and other duties as directed by the Production Manager.
- Assist with moving and spotting heavy equipment and trailers around the facility.
- Complete required training or certifications for scissor lift and forklift operation.
- Follow all company safety policies and proper PPE requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
- Ability to use grinders, hand tools, and power tools.
- Experience using hole saws, skill saws, jig saws, and similar equipment.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequently step in and out of trailers and climb ladders.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, carry, and lift over 50 lbs.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment, hydraulic metal shears, and hand brakes.
- Use hand and power tools throughout the workday.
- Work with various materials and chemicals.
- Work in a warehouse and outdoor environment with exposure to changing temperatures and weather conditions.
- Work in environments that may be loud, wet, hot, cold, dusty, greasy, dirty, or slippery.

Employees are expected to report to work in:
- Jeans or work pants
- Dark-colored, plain shirt

Occasional travel may be required. All employees are expected to follow safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
