Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Tulsa seeks a Weld Trainer/Technician to lead welder training, coach operators, and administer welder qualifications per AWS standards. The role supports process improvement, maintenance, and code compliance across plant and field settings.

You will collaborate with operations, quality, safety, and engineering teams to ensure workforce development and training efficacy, while fostering a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum five years welding manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-C, GMAW-P, FCAW-G, SMAW, SAW.
Familiarity with oxyfuel and plasma cutting.
Commitment to a safe training environment.
Ability to obtain CWI/CWE accreditations.
Knowledge of AWS D1.1 or similar codes.

Responsibilities

Lead welder training program and on-the-job coaching.
Administer welder qualifications per AWS standards.
Support maintenance and troubleshooting of welding processes.
Collaborate with operations, quality, safety, and engineering teams.
Provide hands-on training for GMAW, FCAW-G, SAW, and related cutting.
