Job summary

Seward County Community College in Ulysses, Kansas seeks a Welding Technology Instructor to deliver classroom and hands-on welding instruction, aligning training with regional industry needs.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of welding experience, proficiency across SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and the ability to weld multiple materials, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Start date August 2026 and full-time status.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of welding experience in an industry setting.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and other welding processes.
• Ability to weld on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on welding instruction.
• Support student success and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist with program development and accreditation activities.
• Engage with local industry and community partners to support workforce needs.
• Provide student advising and mentoring.
