Qualifications

• A.S./A.A.S. in welding or a 900-hour/30-credit welding certificate, with ability to complete AS/AS within two years.
• At least two years of industry experience focused on welding per recognized codes.
• CWI certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Journeyman level welding skills in one or more arc welding processes.
• Teaching-focused candidate committed to USU Eastern's mission and to student success.

Responsibilities

• Teach, improve, and develop welding courses with emphasis on GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW.
• Teach print reading and related welding topics in alignment with AWS/ASME standards.
• Offer evening, concurrent enrollment, and workforce training courses as needed.
• Help manage equipment and facilities; assist with PAC meetings with industry partners.
• Participate in departmental, division, and university committees; advise and recruit students.
• Promote SkillsUSA and engage in professional development.
