Job summary

Upper Valley Career Center's Adult Technology Center is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor with experience in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and plasma cutting. The role involves teaching evenings, one or more courses, with classes running 4–5 weeks, two nights per week.

You will support curriculum development, coordinate with employers, and deliver welding training across Mig, Tig, and Stick processes while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• At least five years of direct occupational experience.
• Experience within the last five years is required (at least 3 years).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with customer focus.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with curriculum development, course scheduling and meetings.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct training sessions; provide technical assistance and coaching.
• Collaborate with employers to align curriculum with job outcomes.
• Determine tools, techniques, and timing for improvement activities.
• Develop training materials and active learning activities.
• Deliver Welding courses including Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.
• Maintain safe, productive classroom and shop/lab environments.
• Work with leadership to develop performance metrics.
• Prioritize tasks while remaining customer-focused.
