Job summary

ERMCO-ECI is seeking a Welding Technician to provide technical leadership and support for all welding operations in our Georgia manufacturing facility. The role develops and improves welding processes, standards, and training programs to ensure product quality and safety.

You will partner with Operations, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to establish best practices and support new product introductions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding experience in a sheet metal production environment.
• Associates or greater in Welding Technology is preferred.
• CWI certification through AWS is HIGHLY preferred.
• Experience welding carbon and stainless-steel sheet under 1/8” in thickness via SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and/or resistance welding.
• CAD experience is a plus, but proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees welding training and qualification programs.
• Evaluates and audits welding processes and quality systems.
• Leads the development and implementation of Welding Procedure Specifications and SOPs.
• Provides technical leadership and coaching on welding best practices.
• Collaborates with welding technicians across the enterprise on projects.
• Serves as SME for welding equipment, processes, and techniques.
