ERMCO seeks a skilled welder to join Power Partners division in Athens, GA to weld metal tanks and components for transformer production, following detailed layouts and welding procedures with safety and quality as core priorities. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to read instructions and use measuring tools.
Prior welding/fabrication experience and basic math are preferred to meet our rigorous standards.

This position will use their skillset to weld metal tanks and/or components used in the production of transformers at Power Partners (a division of ERMCO). This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You’ll contribute directly to our mission by ensuring each unit meets our rigorous standards and reflects our core values.
Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions with regards to welding various metal and/or fabricating components to assemble distribution transformers as specified by layout, blueprint, diagram, work order, welding procedures, or oral instructions using various welding equipment. Must have prior training/experience and must ensure safe and proper start-up, operation, maintenance, and shutdown of equipment. Repeated lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices. Handle material and use hand/power tools as needed to perform required tasks. Ensuring conformity of all welds and final products assembled to standards. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
