Job summary

ERMCO seeks a skilled welder to join Power Partners division in Athens, GA to weld metal tanks and components for transformer production, following detailed layouts and welding procedures with safety and quality as core priorities. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to read instructions and use measuring tools.

Prior welding/fabrication experience and basic math are preferred to meet our rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions (spoken and written).
• Basic math including decimals and small fractions.
• Use electronic devices like iPads or computers.
• Stay organized and pay close attention to details.
• Lift/push over 50 lbs and pull up to 110 lbs.
• Wear safety gear including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal tanks and components to assemble distribution transformers per layout and procedures.
• Start up, operate, and shut down welding equipment safely.
• Lift/move material 50+ lbs as needed.
• Ensure welds and final products meet standards.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
