AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Welder Operator to join its manufacturing team in Wichita, KS. The role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating welding equipment, inspecting parts, and routing work orders to the next center.

You will troubleshoot equipment and maintain a safe, clean work area to ensure quality outcomes. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years welding experience and a willingness to leverage AI tools to boost productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years welding experience or equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision making.
• Ability to apply basic shop math and read blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to work with close tolerances and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to operate welding equipment and related hand and power tools.

Responsabilités

• Interpret blueprints and work orders to determine work to be done.
• Visually inspect parts, place with work orders, and route to next work center.
• Operate welding equipment to cut or weld parts.
• Keep workspace clean and organized.
• Troubleshoot equipment and monitor performance to ensure proper operation.
