Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a skilled welder to repair containers, fleet vehicles, and perform fabrication in a shop environment in Indiana. The role involves MIG and ARC welding, cutting with plasma, grinding, and installing components, with safety and quality as priorities.

Ideal candidates have welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and use standard shop tools, and the physical stamina for heavy lifting. This is a full-time on-site position with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn cutting torch skills to use plasma cutter.
• Knowledge of small shop tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication or repair work on containers and equipment.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Cut steel with plasma and other saws as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with standards.
• Complete required paperwork using computer systems.
