Job summary

Midland College is seeking a Lab Instructor in Welding Technology to coordinate with full-time faculty and the department chair, facilitating hands-on student instruction in the lab. The role motivates student participation and supports the chair, dean, and students.

This is not a faculty position. Work is at the Midland College main campus in Midland, TX, with standard lab hours and occasional evening or weekend duties to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with related field cert or equivalent experience.
• Computer literate with ability to operate workshop equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; public speaking beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare labs for classroom and lab activities.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and lab equipment records.
• Perform maintenance inspections and ensure lab safety and readiness.
