Job summary

AAON is seeking a diligent Welding Helper to assist Welder I and II in performing welding tasks on the production floor. You will prepare workpieces, set up equipment, and handle materials while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Candidates should be able to read basic welding blueprints, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with a welding team in a fast-paced facility. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic welding blueprints and instructions.
• Adheres to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Works in a team to assist Welder I and II.
• Assists in setting up welding equipment and tools under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assists Welder I and Welder II in various welding tasks as directed.
• Prepares workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and scraping as necessary.
• Helps set up welding equipment and tools under supervision.
• Handles and stores welding materials and equipment properly.
• Operates power tools and hand tools under guidance.
• Reads and interprets basic welding blueprints and instructions.
• Assists in tack welding components together for final welding.
• Supports Welder I and Welder II in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Learns and follows safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Assists in training and mentoring new helpers as needed.
