Job summary

ATS Welding is seeking reliable Welder Helpers to join our growing Utah crew. You will assist welders with SMAW and GTAW, read basic drawings, and help prepare materials for welding in accordance with API 1104 and ASME B31.3.

Your work will emphasize safety and quality while maintaining equipment and supporting various trades on site. A pre-employment drug test is required, and a strong work ethic will help you grow with our expanding team.

Qualifications

• Must pass preemployment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist Welders in performing SMAW, GTAW, and other welding processes in accordance with API 1104 and ASME B31.3 requirements.
• Assist welders in interpreting technical drawings and specifications to understand the requirements and layout for welding projects.
• Assist Welders in preparing materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces to ensure strong, quality, welds.
• Assist Welders in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and calibrated properly.
• Follow safety protocols and practices, including the use of PPE, to maintain a safe work environment.
• Work closely with other trades and team members to ensure coordinated efforts on the job site.
• Must pass a preemployment drug test.
