Job summary

ST. JOHNS SHIP BUILDING, INC. seeks a Welding Supervisor to oversee the steel and aluminum welding department. You will organize workflows, supervise welders and helpers, and ensure on-time production while maintaining cost and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, training, safety compliance, and collaboration with production management. Work week is Monday through Friday with potential evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Welding Certification, either AWS or ABS required.
• Five or more years of welding experience.
• Two or more years of supervisor experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the steel welding department of ST. JOHNS SHIP BUILDING's projects.
• Meets or exceeds production deadlines for the steel welding department.
• Maintains welding department budget goals and monitors costs.
• Schedules staff, approves time off and ensures proper staffing.
• Operates and maintains welding equipment and ensures safety compliance.
