Job summary

Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Welding Supervisor for the 2nd shift in York, PA. The role oversees hourly union personnel to meet quality, budget, and production targets for the department and shift.

Candidates should have extensive welding experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to set up efficient workstations, read blueprints, and drive safe, productive operations on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to hourly personnel on the shift
• Define and coordinate shift work assignments per contracts, qualifications, and production schedules
• Ensure work meets contractual, operating, and quality standards
• Train and upgrade skills of personnel
• Monitor performance and correct deficiencies

Job description

Welding Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Location: York, PA

Shift: Mon-Fri (3:30pm to 11:55pm)

Pay: $67-77k/yr.

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is looking for a 2nd Shift Welding Supervisor for a welding shop in York, PA. This includes supervision and training of hourly union workforce to meet required quality, budget, and production standards in the department/shift to which the supervisor is assigned.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing with an emphasis in weld, preferably in manufacturing environments which are similar to those at the company.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing.
• Must have a working knowledge related to the welding processes being supervised: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW-P, GMAW.
• Must be able to set up efficient workstations for upcoming jobs.
• Must have excellent blueprint reading capabilities.
• Must be a self-starter and must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and skills.

Job Duties:

• Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to the hourly personnel assigned to the department/shift, including making work assignments, and providing personnel training.
• Establish, define, and coordinate respective shift work assignments in relation to contractual requirements, personnel qualifications, and production schedules and skill capabilities.
• Ensure that work is completed in accordance with all contractual/operating requirements, Company objectives and in compliance with established quality standards.
• Train, upgrade skills, and utilize human resources to optimal usage.
• Monitor performance and efficiency of employee's work efforts and take initiative to correct deficiencies.
