Job summary

International Snubbing Services (ISS), a Superior Energy Services subsidiary, is seeking an experienced welder to join our Arnaudville fabrication team. Under guidance from the Manufacturing Foreman, you will weld on HWO and Snubbing Units and fabricate components to design prints and customer requirements.

You will read blueprints, prepare workpieces, and weld in all positions using GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW, while maintaining safety and cleanliness and coordinating with the fabrication crew.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 10+ years welder/fitter experience preferred.
• 6GR Welding Certification in MIG and Flux Core welding.
• Trained in handling and storing gas cylinders.
• Understand OSHA 1926 Standards.
• Comprehends API RP for construction and repairs to rigging components.
• Familiar with safety operations of plasma torch, acetylene torch, piranha ironworker, and drill press safety.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate HWO and Snubbing Units components as directed.
• Read blueprints and follow customer requirements.
• Prepare workpieces with grinders, files, or scrapers.
• Read drawings, determine layouts, assembly and welding operations.
• Weld components in all positions using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW.
• Operate hand tools and measuring devices.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace; attend daily safety meetings.
