Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Ohio is seeking a seasoned Weld Shop Supervisor to lead daily welding operations, ensure safety and quality, and mentor a welding team. You will hire, train, schedule, and assess performance, enforce PPE and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, and maintain records and compliance across the shop.

The role requires 3–5 years of welding experience, knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years welding and cutting experience.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily weld shop operations and staff performance.
• Hire, train, schedule, and discipline welding staff; approve overtime.
• Ensure safety, PPE usage, and compliance with LOTO procedures.
• Maintain records, quality documentation, and housekeeping.
• Perform fabrication, welding, and repair on containers and equipment as needed.
• Complete paperwork and use shop tools and measuring devices.
