Job summary
Valmet in Houston, TX is seeking a Welding Supervisor to lead the weld shop, drive production quality, ensure safety, and deliver customer satisfaction. You will implement procedures, supervise staff, and coordinate shifts to meet targets.
The role requires 4+ years supervisory experience in welding, knowledge of welding procedures and drawings, and familiarity with QA/ISO standards. Fronius and Arc Specialties equipment experience is a plus; bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing weld shop.
- Proficiency in interpreting welding procedures and engineering drawings.
- Experience with QA/ISO9001, API, ANSI/ASME standards.
- Valve manufacturing knowledge preferred.
- Ability to train and supervise welding operators.
Responsibilities
- Lead and enforce welding procedures and methodologies.
- Maintain safe work environment and training.
- Coordinate and schedule shifts and production plans.
- Ensure on-time quality and delivery of orders.
- Partner with Welding Engineer on programs.
- Oversee operator qualification files.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
