Ace Electric, in Valdosta, GA, seeks a Welding Shop Lead to supervise daily welding and fabrication operations. You will lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with the Shop Manager to meet project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience (MIG, stick, flux-cored), reads blueprints, and works with CAD/CAM tools. A valid driver’s license is required; travel may be necessary.

Formación

• At least 10 years welding or fabrication experience using MIG, stick, and flux-cored welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, project specifications, and tape measurements.
• Welding Certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience leading or supervising welding, fabrication, or shop operations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise daily welding and fabrication operations, assigning work and organizing workflow to support production schedules.
• Perform hands-on welding using MIG, stick, flux-cored, and TIG when applicable.
• Fabricate metal components and assemblies per project specs and blueprints.
• Read tape measures and other tools for precise fabrication work.
• Operate band saws, chop saws, and CNC plasma cutting equipment safely.
• Collaborate with drafters/detailers; use CAD/CAM software to support fabrication.
• Manage routine shop functions, materials handling, and production flow.
• Promote and enforce safety procedures; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Coordinate with project managers, Shop Foreman/Manager, and quality inspectors to meet deadlines.
• Train and mentor team members to strengthen skills and quality.
• Monitor inventory for welding supplies and fabrication materials.
