Job summary

Maguire is seeking a Shop Laborer Summer Intern to assist in the fabrication shop and field assignments. You will gain exposure to welding and help coworkers with daily tasks, while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities include interpreting Maguire prints, performing fabrication tasks with SMAW, and supporting field crews to meet schedules. A formal welding apprenticeship or degree is preferred, with travel to multi-state sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Welding experience and ability to pass a company weld test (SMAW).
• Capability to interpret specs/drawings and communicate print information.
• Experience leading crews and coordinating field work with safety at the forefront.

Responsibilities

• Assist fabrication shop tasks and field work as directed.
• Read Maguire prints and communicate discrepancies to project managers.
• Lead field team assistants to complete the required scope on time.
• Maintain equipment and complete daily production paperwork.
• Lead weekly safety toolbox meetings and on-site customer interactions.
