Job summary

Maguire Iron, Inc. is seeking a Shop Laborer Summer Intern to perform various tasks within the fabrication shop. The intern will gain exposure to the welding industry by assisting coworkers with daily operations and learning about equipment maintenance, material handling, and safety protocols.

This role requires good communication skills and the ability to follow directions safely. A high school diploma is preferred, and job training will be provided to ensure all essential duties can be performed satisfactorily.

Qualifications

• Ability to adhere to PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
• Job training will be provided by department trainer.

Responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate equipment and maintain a debris-free area.
• Follow directions to operate machinery and assist coworkers.
• Use an oxygen acetylene torch for cutting tasks.
