U-Haul is seeking a Welding Robot Programmer to join our Glendale, AZ team. You will program, set up, and operate ABB robotic welding cells to build truck and trailer parts for the leading DIY moving company.

Expect collaboration with engineering and fabrication teams, a focus on quality, and safety compliance. You should have hands-on programming experience with robot welding, familiarity with MIG welding, and strong reading skills for technical documents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Robot Welder with hands-on programming capabilities.
• Experience with robotic welding systems is required.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to travel for machine-specific training.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
