Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Delaware, OH is seeking a Welding Robot Operator to drive automated welding, ensuring safe, high-quality production on-site. The role starts at $30 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential and a weekend schedule (Fri-Sun, 6:00am-6:00pm).

Training on 1st shift precedes the permanent shift. Bi-weekly pay. Candidate requirements include 3+ years in robot operation (robotic welding preferred), ASME welding experience a plus, and ability to read WPS and drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of robot operation experience, welding strongly preferred.
• Experience and certification in welding per ASME is a plus.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and to read drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork aptitude.
• Methodical, organized, and precise.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Follow production orders, prepare parts and assemble components by teaching the robot and executing robotic welding.
• Execute welds per procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment via preventative maintenance and fix minor malfunctions.
• Inspect finished welds for conformance to specs.
• Verify and document welding processes and variations.
• Propose new methods or equipment to improve efficiency or quality.

Wieland is hiring a Welding Robot Operator. The welding robot operator will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of welded metal components by operating, setting up, and maintaining automated robotic welding systems.

This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $30 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential

Schedule: Weekend Shift - Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm (36 hours)

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Training will be on 1st Shift (2 - 4 weeks)

Monday – Thursday

6:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

Welding Robot Operator Responsibilities:

• Following the production orders, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies by teaching the robot and executing robotic welding.
• Execute welds in accordance with company’s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing minor malfunctions as needed.
• Inspecting finished welds for conformance to specifications.
• Verifying and documenting welding processes and any variations.
• Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality.

Welding Robot Operator Qualifications:

• At least 3 years’ experience in robot operation – robotic welding strongly preferred.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard a plus.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
• Methodical, organized, and precise.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
