Job summary

Wieland Group is hiring a Welding Robot Operator in Delaware, Ohio, to ensure the efficient, high-quality production of welded components by operating robotic welding systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of robot operation experience, ideally in robotic welding, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving and teamwork.

This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $30 per hour plus a shift differential, with benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k) retirement savings. The role is fully on-site with a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in robot operation, preferably in robotic welding.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and drawings.
• Experience and certification in welding according to ASME standard are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and assemble components using robotic welding.
• Execute welds following company procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Inspect finished welds for specifications compliance.
• Document welding processes and suggest improvements.

Wieland is hiring a Welding Robot Operator. The welding robot operator will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of welded metal components by operating, setting up, and maintaining automated robotic welding systems.

This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $30 per hour plus $0.75 shift differential

Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday (4:00pm - 2:30am)

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Training will be on 1st Shift (2-4 weeks)

Monday - Thursday

6:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Following the production orders, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies by teaching the robot and executing robotic welding.
• Execute welds in accordance with company's procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing minor malfunctions as needed.
• Inspect finished welds for conformance to specifications.
• Verify and documenting welding processes and any variations.
• Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality.

Welding Robot Operator Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in robot operation - robotic welding strongly preferred.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard a plus.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
• Methodical, organized, and precise.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
