Job summary

Moon Fabricating Corp. is seeking an experienced Welding Quality & Safety Manager to oversee quality control and workplace safety across its steel fabrication, coating, and lining operations in Kokomo, IN.

The role requires a CWI and OSHA 10, with hands-on fabrication experience and the ability to lead quality and safety initiatives. You will perform inspections, maintain quality documentation, manage welder qualifications, and coordinate safety training across fabrication and coating

Qualifications

• CWI certification is required.
• OSHA 10-hour certification required.
• At least 1 year of steel fabrication experience.
• Experience with industrial coatings or linings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and ASME/ AWS sections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming steel and consumables for project quality.
• Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1, D1.6, and ASME Section VIII Div 1.
• Maintain welder qualifications and quality records.
• Train and mentor employees on welding, safety, and quality procedures.
