Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. in Lyndhurst, VA is hiring a Quality Inspector - Welding to ensure welded components meet design requirements.

You will collaborate with welders, engineers, and production staff to identify defects, perform inspections, and support improvements across the welding department. The role requires a minimum of 3+ years in quality inspection or welding within a manufacturing setting, with strong knowledge of welding symbols and standards (ANSI, AWS, ISO).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or welding in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of welding symbols and standards (ANSI, AWS, ISO).
• Experience with GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW welding processes.
• Proficient in using measurement and inspection tools.
• Ability to document and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded components and assemblies for compliance with drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Perform dimensional checks and visual inspections; apply NDT methods where applicable.
• Identify weld defects such as cracks, porosity, undercutting, and incomplete fusion.
• Document findings, deviations, and corrective actions clearly.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the welding department.
• Maintain traceable quality records per internal policies.
