Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Glen Ellyn, IL is looking for a Quality Weld Inspector to ensure welded and fabricated products meet engineering drawings, welding requirements, and established quality standards on the manufacturing floor.

You will perform pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections, verify workmanship against specs, document nonconformances, and collaborate with welders and engineers to drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting welding drawings and specs.
• Strong documentation and nonconformance reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with welders, engineers and quality teams.
• Certified/qualified to support NDT when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections visually and dimensionally.
• Verify workmanship against drawings and welding specs.
• Identify and document nonconformances to prevent downstream defects.
• Collaborate with welders and engineers for quality improvements.
• Support NDT activities when qualified.
• Assist with containing and addressing quality issues on the shop floor.
