Job summary

Focus Manufacturing is seeking a Welding Inspector / QC Technician to ensure weld quality, fabrication quality, and product conformance in our AS9100 manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary resource for weld inspection and welding documentation, reporting to the Quality Control Manager.

You will inspect welds, review blueprints, manage WPSs and PQRs, support weld repairs, and assist with nonconformance reporting, while collaborating with welders and production staff to resolve

Qualifications

• Strong welding and fabrication shop experience with knowledge of weld quality and symbols.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with standard inspection and measuring tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of pursuing AWS CWI certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of welded components to verify compliance with drawings and weld symbols.
• Inspect welds for size, profile, location, fit-up, and document nonconformances.
• Review blueprints and welding specifications to determine inspection criteria.
• Maintain WPSs, PQRs, and welding-related quality documentation.
• Support weld quality by coordinating with welders and production staff.
