Jefferson Industries Corp in West Jefferson, OH is seeking a Production Team Leader for the Welding Department on 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The role focuses on driving safety, quality and on-time production while mentoring teammates.

You will collaborate with leadership to improve workflow, train staff, perform quality checks, and manage documents; steady overtime and a range of benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Experience leading weld-production teams.
• Ability to read and follow quality and safety procedures.
• Stand for long periods on concrete up to 12 hours.
• Willingness to overtime as needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate production associates to meet safety, quality, delivery, and production goals in Welding.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve workflow.
• Train and mentor team members to develop skills.
• Identify and solve problems to complete duties.
• Perform quality checks in a timely manner.
• Enforce quality and containment procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area to reduce hazards.
• Assist with PPE costs and ensure PPE is safe to use.
• Complete production documents such as downtime, scrap, rework.
• Maintain confidentiality of associate issues.
• Verify lines are set up for proper model types and stocked.
• Support operations, including operating equipment or forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.
