Standard Iron is seeking an experienced Production Welding Supervisor to lead our welding production team. This hands-on leader will supervise employees, coordinate daily welding activities, and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has welding and manufacturing experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing settings.
• Hands-on welding experience in production/fabrication.
• Experience in metal fabrication and contract manufacturing.
• Knowledge of welding processes, symbols, and fit-up.
• Proven leadership and accountability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities safely and efficiently.
• Clear communication with teams and cross-functional groups.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support welding employees to promote teamwork and safety.
• Coordinate daily welding activities to meet schedules.
• Assign work and provide direction to staff.
• Oversee welding operations and enforce procedures.

• Ensure welded products meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Monitor welding processes and equipment usage.
• Manage workflow, staffing, and materials to minimize downtime.
• Identify and solve production bottlenecks and quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Train and develop welding staff; encourage cross-training.
• Provide regular feedback and address attendance and performance.
• Maintain clear communication with all departments.
• Coordinate with fabrication, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Ensure availability of consumables and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
