The role oversees weld production, workforce performance, planning, and adherence to standards, partnering with plant leadership to meet business goals.

The candidate will manage weld processes, mentor staff, ensure compliance with specifications and procedures, and contribute to material flow and cost reduction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 7+ years of welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing.
• 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and drawings.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement preferred.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding and fabrication operations to meet production schedules.
• Standardize welding processes and verify machine settings and procedures.
• Troubleshoot welding issues with Maintenance and Quality teams.
• Oversee weld quality systems and weld procedure compliance.
• Provide leadership and development to welding personnel.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production performance and key metrics for improvement.
