Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Weld Supervisor to lead a team of welders in a high-volume manufacturing facility. You will coach, ensure quality, and maintain a safe, productive environment while meeting daily production goals.

Responsibilities include supervising welding operations, training, reading blueprints and weld symbols, resolving production issues, and coordinating with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams. A strong background in welding processes and OSHA safety is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of welding processes and ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• OSHA safety regulations knowledge and manufacturing best practices.

• Identify and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues.
• Ensure employees have tools, materials, and resources needed to perform their work.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency and achieve production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Weld Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of welders to safely produce high-quality trailers while meeting daily production goals. This position provides hands-on leadership by coaching employees, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
• Experience troubleshooting welding defects and production issues.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems preferred.
