Job summary
Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking a Welding Process Engineer to drive manufacturing processes and electronics integration on new vehicle programs. You will support CAD modeling, process control, and data-driven improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2+ years of automotive/industrial experience, with travel as needed. You will collaborate across manufacturing units to ensure quality, safety, and efficient
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of job-related experience in manufacturing/engineering.
Responsibilities
- Apply strong engineering fundamentals to manufacturing processes and electronics.
- Lead CAD modeling activities; experience with AutoCAD or CATIA V5/V6 a plus.
- Perform dimensional control, statistics and data analysis to improve processes.
- Preferably experienced with metal stamping, welding/brazing, hemming.
- Apply ISO 9001:2015 standards (PFMEA, control plans).
- Review construction progress of body shop and manage production preparation for new models.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify issues and drive improvements.
