Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, Ohio seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations across robotic and manual welding cells and the press shop. You will ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery targets while providing direct shop‑floor leadership and coordinating with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Tooling, Materials, and Safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team‑leadership experience in automotive/high‑volume manufacturing.
• Experience supervising welding cells, press‑shop ops, metal fabrication, stamping, or assembly.
• Working knowledge of robotic and manual MIG welding processes.
• Understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, guarding, PPE, and incident investigation.
• Familiarity with quality systems, PFMEA, 5S, and defect containment.
• Ability to read production reports, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, ERP/MRP, and production‑reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide shop‑floor leadership for welding cells, presses, and automation.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery targets are met.
• Coach and develop operators; assign staffing and monitor performance.
• Maintain KPI tracking, shift handoffs, and production communications.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks.
