Job summary

Camaco is seeking a skilled fabricator and welder to join our Lorain, OH facility. The role involves measuring, cutting, welding, machining, and assembling metal components to precise specifications from blueprints.

You will perform MIG welding with attention to quality while leveraging CNC machining knowledge. We value accuracy, the ability to work independently or in a team, and familiarity with AWS and AITF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in metal fabrication or welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring, cutting, welding, and CNC machining techniques.
• Proficiency in CNC setup and basic programming (G-code).
• Familiarity with AWS standards and AITF 16949 quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark materials accurately for cutting, shaping, and machining.
• Cut, bend, and form metal components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform precision MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding as a plus.
• Assemble fabricated and machined parts into complete units.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and defects.
• Maintain and repair fabrication and CNC equipment.
• Record production data for inventory control.
