Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Helper/Cleaner/Finisher at our Rosemount, MN location. You will clean, grind and sand surfaces, finish raw parts before painting, and assist welding by setting up the weld table as directed.

Expect to lift up to 50 lbs, operate grinders and hand tools, and support welders with non‑welding tasks. We offer extensive benefits including medical, dental and vision plans, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Examine surface for defects.
• Select abrasive wheel and attach to grinder per specifications.
• Operate grinder to remove scratches, laminated metal, burrs.
• Polish ground areas for a smooth surface.
• Replace worn abrasive disks/wheels.
• Assist welders with non-welding prep and set up weld table.
• Lift and load materials using hoists, cranes, or forklift.
• Assist welders in moving heavy pieces.
• Perform sub-assembly work as needed.
• Use bracing and measurement tools.
• Assist welders in bolting components.
• Perform preventative maintenance of welding equipment.
• Clean workpieces with grinder or scraper.
