Job summary

Big Top Manufacturing is seeking a Weld Shop Supervisor in Flower Mound, TX. The role leads the welding department, drives safety, quality, and productivity, and reports to the Plant General Manager. You will manage Welder I–III, coordinate staffing, and uphold standards across the shop.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, draws on welding/ fabrication experience, and implements continuous improvement with ERP data. This exempt role emphasizes accountability and team development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of welding or fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• AWS welding certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns welding department performance including safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Leads Welder I–III through coaching, clear expectations, and accountability.
• Plans daily department execution aligning labor, equipment, and materials to meet production goals.
• Ensures safety compliance, PPE use, and inspections are completed.
• Maintains department records and improves KPIs related to safety and quality.
