Job summary

Tulsa Technology Center is seeking a Welding Substitute Instructor to educate and train students, supporting their entry into the workplace or higher education while aligning with the District’s core values.

You will manage the classroom and lab, enforce safety procedures, maintain attendance records, and perform duties as assigned. Required: 3–5 years welding industry experience and proficiency with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GTAW.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years welding industry experience.
• Proficiency in welding practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of welding/shop safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the classroom in the absence of the full-time instructor to create an optimal learning environment.
• Provide instruction and supervise students in classroom and lab settings using program-approved equipment and materials.
• Maintain a safe welding lab environment by enforcing safety procedures and monitoring students during lab activities.
• Maintain up-to-date attendance records and perform duties as assigned by management.
