Job summary

Applitrack in Nicholas County, WV is seeking a qualified CTE Welding educator to lead welding instruction within the district’s Career and Technical Education program. The teacher will deliver standards-aligned lessons, supervise welding labs, and foster safety and skill development among students.

Qualifications

• WV CTE certification in Welding, Endorsement 7052.
• AWS SMAW/GMAW certificates or WVDE welding certificate.
• Minimum two years welding industry experience.
• Must meet WVDE educator certification requirements or complete approved program.
• Criminal background check as required by WV law.
• Perform duties as described in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers welding-focused lessons aligned with WV standards.
• Uses technology to enhance welding instruction and student engagement.
• Delivers rigorous, safe welding instruction to all students.
• Accommodates different learning styles within the welding curriculum.
• Prepares instructional materials and equipment for welding labs.
• Collaborates with special education and staff to support learners.
• Assesses student progress and provides feedback for mastery.
• Supervises students during labs, exams, and field activities.
