Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a skilled Welder to interpret blueprints, set up weld equipment and work on customized pumpers and rescue units.

You will perform bench, MIG, and TIG welding (aluminum and steel), pass internal welder qualifications, and contribute to a hands-on, team-focused culture with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or certificate in Industrial Welding or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up weld equipment and maintain the weld training area.
• Assist HR and supervision in the hiring process by conducting the pre-employment weld evaluation test.
• Train and provide guidance to new welding staff.
• Explain and demonstrate welding procedures used at Pierce Manufacturing.
• Explain and demonstrate proper welding techniques to pass qualification tests.
• Evaluate weld test pieces fairly and maintain training records.
