NANA Construction in Big Lake, Alaska seeks a skilled structural welder/fitter to read prints, perform multi-process welding, and fabricate large assemblies. You’ll handle positioning in varied angles, preheat as required, and work with Lincoln Invertec v350 and LN 25 equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on welding, tool use, and adherence to safety. Transportation and physical demands are anticipated in an industrial site environment.

Formación

• Requires high school diploma or GED or 10 years structural welder/fitter experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Structural Welder/Fitter.
• Must pass multi-process 3G/4G welding tests.
• Wire feed flux core experience required; equipment at Big Lake includes Lincoln Invertec v350 and LN 25.
• Knowledge of industrial construction and related equipment.
• Driver’s license with clean 3-year record preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines welds for size and specifications.
• Cleans weld joints or work pieces.
• Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
• Preheats pieces with hand torch when required.
• Uses fabrication tools for layout and erection.
• Works from ladders/scaffolding to assemble large parts.
• No supervisory duties.
• Other duties as needed.
