Job summary

Flare Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Welder Helper to join our Gas Division and support skilled welders on pipeline and facility construction projects in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

You will assist with setting up equipment, keeping work areas safe, and helping manage materials while following safety standards. This entry-level role requires a willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team on outdoor sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic knowledge of welding tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow direction from experienced welders.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in setting up equipment and preparing materials for welding.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Help monitor inventory and materials.
• Operate power and hand tools as directed.
• Assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Transport tools and materials to and from job sites.
• Follow all safety protocols and Flare safety standards.
