Job summary

Flare Construction, a Quanta Services company, has been building the West's civil and energy infrastructure since 1976. We're looking for a Welder Helper to join our Gas Division crew and get hands-on experience supporting skilled welders on active pipeline and facility construction projects.

This position will be in the Salk Lake City, Utah area. You will assist with setup, keep the work area safe and organized, monitor inventory, and support team members in all welding-related tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic knowledge of welding tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. and push/pull loads up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow direction from experienced welders.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in setting up equipment and preparing materials for welding.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Help monitor inventory and materials.
• Operate power and hand tools as directed.
• Assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Transport tools and materials to and from job sites.
• Follow all safety protocols and Flare safety standards.
