Job summary
Flare Construction, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Welder Helper to support skilled welders on active pipeline and facility construction projects in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. This hands-on position offers practical experience within our Gas Division crew and emphasizes safety and teamwork.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic knowledge of welding tools and equipment, and the physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of welding tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist welders in setting up equipment and preparing materials for welding.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Help monitor inventory and materials.
- Operate power and hand tools as directed.
- Assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and Flare safety standards.
